    Description

Reseller Collectors Lot of 5 Vintage Collectible 1980 Strawberry Shortcake Adjustable Rings Vending Machine Toy
Made from a gold tone metal alloy with enamel paint. Adjustable size 4 - 5. The enameled part of the ring measures 1/2" X 3/8". The buyer will receive 5 sealed packages.
Dating the items: The bag has R.O.C. Taiwan (Republic of China) printed on it. Taiwan asserted its independence from China in 1990, and dropped the letters R.O.C. from packaging. After this date, labeled their packaging "Taiwan".
During the 1980s, Taiwan R.O.C. was the leading manufacturer of advertising merchandise for cartoons, comics, breakfast cereals, etc. While these inexpensive items were given away in cereal boxes (or prizes in gumball vending machines), they have become today's collectible.
Strawberry Shortcake was introduced in 1980 and the rings feature the classic pose of 1982. In 1990, Strawberry's appearance changed. She lost the big bonnet and wore a hair bow instead, therefore; I can say with certainty that the rings date to the early 1980s. Guaranteed authentic. These came from storage that belonged to a skating rink.
I have only a few sets to sell. I sell these on eBay from .50 - .00 each. Selling these to raise a bit of working capital.
I will ship USPS First Class Mail.
